[11:18 AM] Birb - Sky: ==RP Start==
[11:25 AM] Birb - Sky: Viana was walking around the different carvans, not really noticing anything too exciting to buy. After all, it wasn't like there was any sweet candy. And she had already asked the nice bakery-boy for a few free samples, and they didn't quite satiate her sweet tooth, so she didn't end up actually buying anything. She also probably didn't notice the bits of crumbs that had somehow gotten in her hair.
But then she noticed this gorgeous creature in one of the caravans... The was the prettiest bird she had seen before. And she quickly asked how much it was. Marie replied "10000 Gold". Viana had become saddened, as she counted her gold to find there wasn't enough.
"But... uh...you're in luck! I just so happened to put them for sale. And for a limited time only!" she said with a sly wink
"OH WHAT?! I WANT HIM PLEASE, PET LADY. TAKE MY MONEY"
Viana just impulse bought a bird and food for 3000 of her gold.... And she couldn't be happier.
The bird firmly grasped her shoulder and nibbled on the crumbs still left in her hair as she ran to find Delphi to show her this marvelous bird.

[11:32 AM] LadyDeme: Delphine was enjoying a little bit of the woods, while they were wobbling out of the desert while it lasted. She'd gotten out her notebook and was sketching out a few things she'd observed in terms of the creature's they'd seen last time, including a few sketches. She hummed under her breath, some little old tune, when suddenly...
Viana came running up to her, bird in tow. At first, it hardly seemed noteworthy -- Viana had two speeds: running and falling, and Delphine was waiting for her to do one or the other when she noticed the bird. She lifted up her head and admired the bird nibbling at Viana's hair.
"Viana, what do you have there?"
[11:39 AM] Birb - Sky: "It's a bird, Delphi, lookit! He was on sale for cheap! Only 3000 gold for something so gorgeous! And he's superrr nice too! Oh oh oh and watch this"
Viana turned toward the bird and said to it: "Hiya!"
"Hiya, Hiya, Hiya!" The bird squawked back.
Viana was extremely amused. "hehehe, see Delphi, it can talk too!"
[11:39 AM] Birb - Sky: "I think I love him"(edited)
[11:43 AM] LadyDeme: Delphine chuckled at the bird's response to Viana's running about. That wasn't bad, all-told: Delphine had been doing a lot of shopping herself, and had bought things worth well over that.
"Greetings, mister bird." Looking at the feathers, he likely was a mister. That sort of bird was probably a Celanthian breed, with feathers so flashy like that. She gave it a little whistle, to have the whistle returned curiously. "Ah, what a charmer! Have you named him yet?"
[11:56 AM] Birb - Sky: "hehe he's definitely a charmer! He really picks up on learning things fast! He's really funny!"
Viana pondered aboutt the name for a few minutes when she thought of something a funny name.
"hehe how about "Hya" ? Then I can say "Hiya, Hya!""
[2:34 PM] LadyDeme: "That's a little simple, isn't it? He has such an elegant face," Delphine said, putting aside her book with a page open, the ink still fresh.
"He's an elegant bird, though, isn't he? He might need something a bit classier, don't you think? Hm..." Delphine tapped her chin, turning her head this way and that to attract the attention of the bird, who followed her. "How about Hyacinth? You can call him Hya for short."
[2:46 PM] Birb - Sky: "hehe, that's perfect, Delphi! You sure have a way with words" Viana chuckled
"hehe, hiya Delphi!" Hyacinth said, mimicing Viana signature giggle
"W-woah! Delphi he knows your name already!"
As she said this, he hopped from Viana and glided towards Delphine, deciding to now land on her shoulder and pick through her hair, as he decided that he'd picked through Viana's thoroughly enough(edited)
[3:28 PM] LadyDeme: Delphine chuckled -- and winced a little as the bird's beak tugged at her hair perhaps a little too hard.. She made an audible little noise, which he did, at least, seem to pick up on.
"That's a little much, Hyacinth. Softer," she urged. The bird cooperated, more just nudging it around with his beak. "I'm sorry I don't have a snack for you up in there, Hyacinth... You know, I bet I could teach a bird like this a song."
[4:28 PM] Birb - Sky: gasp
"Oh really? Would you, Delphi? You do have a beautiful voice! A lot better than mine at least! I think some people called me "tone death"... though not sure what that means... Anyway, what'cha gonna teach 'im, Delphi? Something pretty I assume!"
Viana was getting really excited at a singing bird, as they could probably tell.
"Hiya~" Hyacinth squawked, this time with a more singsong tune in his voice
[4:28 PM] Birb - Sky: "That's the spirit, Hya!" Viana cheered on
[5:32 AM] LadyDeme: "That's Tone Deaf, Vi," Delphine said, though she'd heard Viana's singing before. Either descriptor wasn't super unapt. "You're deaf to tones, not death to tones."
Delphine leaned back, letting Hyacinth shift a little forward on her shoulder, and she hmmed and hawwed with his long tailfeathers wiggling on her back.
"I'm not exactly sure; perhaps a bit of 'Shores of the Sacred Lake' -- I've always thought it lovely." She was thinking about the possibility of instrumental songs as hummed by the bird, rather than relying on what might be a shaky grasp of lyrics. She didn't have much here to practice with, but the melody might suffice. "Of course, I could always do a tropical piece, for a tropical bird."
[6:14 AM] Birb - Sky: "oh, oh, I know, I know! Teach Hyacinth that one song! Y'know, the sad one about the forest! The one with a happy ending! It's my favorite. I like how the notes are uh... Sad and weird at the start but turn into happy fast at the end... Y'know, Delphi, the one that goes like this:"
Viana began to hum the song she was referring to, but the key and tone were pretty off. But it was surely enough for Delphine to know which one she was talking about.
Despite her singing being off, Hyacinth bounced around his little head to the beat, as if he was actually enjoying her singing... This made her blush and giggle, which Hyacinth soon repeated back to her.
"Hehehe!" He chirped(edited)
[8:27 AM] LadyDeme: "Hmm...Ah, that's 'The Moonlit Forest,' right? I beliee I know the one."
She began to sing the first bars, wordless and alone, to see if he'd get the melody down. It was a song in a minor key, for the most part, allowing that sort of sad element -- a song of being lost in the woods and finding hope, sung in a way to suggest that the woods were, in fact, everything. Delphine's practiced, light tone fell in beside Viana's off-key one, and soon, Hyacinth was repeating a few of the notes back as well, in a clear birdsong way.
And then he broke off into
"Hiya, hiya, hiya!" causing Delphine to stop and laugh.
"We'll work on it won't we? But my, he has a lovely voice. You have a good eye for birds, Vi."
[9:57 AM] Birb - Sky: After giggling, and after Hyacinth repeating her and Delphine's laugh, and then more laughing, Viana wiped the tears from her eyes and spoke
"yeah, one of the best voices I've ever heard from a bird, that's for sure! Or really any voice! It almost rivals yours, even! And you two actually make quite the duet! I'd to listen, at least. Hehe and he's pretty funny too. I don't regret buying him at all!"
Viana leaned in, careful not to squish the Birdy, she gave them both a hug. Hyacinth chirped "Hiya, Vi!~" before letting out a happy little coo and beginning to search her violet hair for something to munch on.
[11:38 AM] LadyDeme: "That's good! Everyone should have something to make them happy," Delphine said softly, stroking the crest atop his head and smiling, watching her friend have something to take care of, and pool that love into.
[1:16 PM] Birb - Sky: "Yeah, you guys sure do make me happy..." she said with a thoughtful smile.
But Hyacinth's pecking at her head for food reminded her of something
"...OH CRAP AND A HALF! I THINK I LEFT HIS FOOD WITH THE PET LADY!!!AAAAAA!!! HE MUST BE STARVINGGGG!! BYE BYE, HYA! HEY DELPHI, DO ME A HUUUGE FAVOR AND WATCH AFTER HIM FOR A BIT, 'KAY? THANKS!!! AAAAA GOTTA GO GOTTA GO GOTTA GO GOTTA GO GOTTA GOOOOOoooooOOOOooOooOoOooooOOOO!!!!!" Viana screamed as she ran away, back in the direction of Marie. She tripped a little, but rolled a little and got back up and kept running, somehow maintaining her momentum.
But as the two watched her run off, they see a little baggie with big, bold text that read "PET FOOD", on the ground around the area she had been previously
"Bye bye, Vi" Hyacinth chirped(edited)
[1:29 PM] LadyDeme: "Well." And there she went. Delphine sighed, shaking her head, and letting Hyacinth up onto her arm. The bird's talons gripped fairly lightly, letting Delphine start wondering about the things needed to take care of a bird. He'd need a perch, and probably some toys -- smart birds got bored easily, in Delphine's opinion as a smart person ....
"Really, I'm not sure she's ready for a pet. Maybe if she'd gotten a goldfish..."
Well, Delphine shook her head and picked up her notebook, singing for Hyacinth to catch onto.
