Girls' Day Out

Weiss Schnee
-10/11/2016

Artemis stretched, happily looking up after finishing a small novel, Luckily, the library has a good selection. Re-reading stuff can be fun. Standing up from her bed in the barracks, Artemis deposited the book back into her satchel, pulling out her flute case in the meantime. Resting it on the bed, she opened the case, running her fingers along the disassembled flute, lost in her own thoughts.

Kwakado | Traitor-10/11/2016

A sharp, but hesitantly-paced, knock rang into the room from the door of the women's room. Persephone waited outside in a darkly-hued gown, clutching her sheathed sword between her arms. It may not have been the most conventional of courtesies for a common room, but if someone like Foal was inside she wanted at least a short notice.

Weiss Schnee-10/11/2016

The sharp knocked snapped Artemis out of her thoughts, and she quickly closed the lid of her flute case with a soft slam, "It's open! Come in." Is it one of the males? Most everyone else is out this time of day.

Kwakado | Traitor-10/11/2016

Recognizing the voice more than any other in the army, Persephone eagerly entered, closing the door behind her. Her face was more powdered than usual, masking the signs of sleepless nights, but smiled brilliantly across the room. "Oh, Arty! I'm so glad to see you.." Persephone relaxed her hold of the sword, setting it neatly beside her own bed atop the rest of her belongings...then ran up to embrace her.

Weiss Schnee-10/11/2016

Artemis smiled, seeing Persephone enter the room, "Oh Seph, it's good to-" She's surprised by the embrace, stiffening before forcing herself to relax and after that it take her a few moments to reciprocate, "Seph, it's good to see you too...were you expecting a fight or something, carrying your sword like that?"

Kwakado | Traitor-10/11/2016

"N-not at all! I was just coming back from the pawn shop." She pulled away to help Artemis settle, before attempting to justify her decisions to the professional strategist. "Amaron is hardly the most fortified city in Junith, you know. It's important to be ready for whomever you meet."

Weiss Schnee-10/11/2016

Artemis smiled, "True enough. I'm always carrying at least one of my tomes when I leave the barracks." Moving the flute case and satchel to a different spot on her bed, Artemis sat, patting the spot next to her, "Sit, sit! Did you find anything interesting in the pawn shop?"

Kwakado | Traitor-10/11/2016

Sitting beside her, Persephone shook her head briskly at Artemis. "I only went to sell a few trifles...but they had some lovely rings on display! Think of the heartbreak that could have brought them here..." The young noble sighed, turning outward toward the wall. "If we weren't saving up for the war, I really might have picked one."

Weiss Schnee-10/11/2016

"At least, think of it this way, the longer they're in the shop, the longer the original owner has a chance to get it back, right?" Artemis commented before worriedly looking over her dear friend, "Still, how has everything been for you? With the war and fighting Ethysia? I'm sorry, I didn't check in with you sooner."

Kwakado | Traitor-10/11/2016

"Oh.." The girl's enthusiastic tangent faded, and a little more of the fatigue in her face showed. A heavy pause lingered between them. "It's dreadful. All of it. I thought I could be as strong as you, Arty, but I can't fathom how you can do this--!" Persephone stifles her raising voice, letting out a sharp sigh.

Weiss Schnee-10/11/2016

Artemis' eyes saddened as she cradled one of Seph's hands in her two. "With a lot of pain and pragmatism, Seph. It's kill or be killed out there and honestly? It scares me but I've gotten used to this. It's been my life for so long." She sighed, "It's also about knowing how to step back from all of this. I read so much and get lost in my flute because otherwise, I might go crazy from all the what if and what's nexts."

Kwakado | Traitor-10/11/2016

Persephone responds with a curt nod. Kill or be killed was a core tenant of even the most casual followers of Rhesus, whose law was inescapable on the battlefield. Someone with Artemis's experience would surely have grasped this better than her. "To step back...Oh, if only I could!" She fought back tears, much more successfully than she had with Delphine. "I shan't say it to anyone...but..." She turned away. "If the war had just come a year later...!"

Weiss Schnee-10/11/2016

"...right." This time, the hug was Artemis' initiative. "You'd be on the other side of this." The tactician was used to voicing what others refused to. "I only say step back because thinking on 'what if's will drive any person mad. Distract your mind from it if it's overwhelming. But what matters is the here and now. And you're with us. With Prince Finn and Sir Erik and myself and Lorenzo and all of us. A choice was made and your path has led you here. Where it takes you, only you'll realize."

Kwakado | Traitor-10/11/2016

Persephone held her friend greedily, letting some tears slip out. She'd all but spoken her treasonous longings, and yet Artemis hadn't turned away for a moment. ...outmatched, as always. But she wouldn't want it any other way. "You're absolutely brilliant, Arty...and ever so kind. And such spells! His Highness must be proud to have your aid."

Weiss Schnee-10/11/2016

Artemis only blushed from Persephone's words, "You're one of my dearest friends, Seph and yet you shower such praise on me, when you've proven yourself so much stronger. Continuing despite everything, that's you." "You know, you need to show me your swordsmanship at some point. I used to always get pushed to practice it, as a potential ace in the hole weapon but I never had much time. If there's anything His Highness should be proud to have, it's your sword arm."
October 12, 2016

Kwakado | Traitor-10/12/2016

"Oh..I suppose I could show you that.." Persephone's expression oscillated between pride at the tactician's praise...and sorrow that she hadn't lived up to it. Just like her ancestors, all the craven count's daughter could seem to bring to the crown was disappointment. But Artemis had never been one to pay heed to such.."superstition", or much of anything beyond her studies. Stretching her arms out in front, Persephone glanced around the room, then back to her friend. "I've heard talk of a lovely arena here...Why don't we go searching for it? Surely they'd have room enough for a little exhibition!" She gave an enthusiastic, encouraging smile, hoping Artemis would take up the offer...and have a reason to finally get out.(edited)

Weiss Schnee-10/12/2016

The one thing Artemis prided herself on besides her mage and tactics work, was her ability to observe. So the changing expression didn't escape her notice but rather than prod, she would allow her beset friend to tell her on her own time. Deciding to play along with Persephone, despite know where the arena is, she smiled, "That sounds lovely, Seph. I'll happily join you." She stood, picking up her cloak from where it rested and fastening it. "Admittedly, I haven't paid much attention to time. Will I need to protect myself from the harsh sun or has the kind moon appeared?"

Kwakado | Traitor-10/12/2016

Persephone giggled at the question. "Just past mid-day, Arty. And dreadfully warm!" She changed out of her gown, instead opting for a shorter outfit more suited for chance encounters. "How has your time been here? Harsh, or kind?"

Weiss Schnee-10/12/2016

Hearing that the sun was out, Artemis flipped the hood of her cloak up, "I've grown too used to wearing this cloak no matter the weather, my dear Seph." "Still, my time has been kind. Have you gotten the chance to try the local delicacy?"

Kwakado | Traitor-10/12/2016

"..just imports. I'm, not very experienced with sea food." Persephone secured her scabbard onto the side of her skirt, trying not to linger too long on the worn blade within.

Weiss Schnee-10/12/2016

"Don't worry~" Artemis secured her tomes by her waist, "The local delicacy is actually a sweet. And you can even have it with fruit."

Kwakado | Traitor-10/12/2016

"Oh, that sounds like such a walkover." Persephone came to the door, holding it open for her. "I suppose you've found somewhere nice to dine?"

Weiss Schnee-10/12/2016

"Not as fancy as you think." Artemis smiled and thanked Seph as she walked out of the barracks, "I tend to frequent a small vendor selling the chocolate covered strawberries. Still sweet but there's just a hint of bitterness from the chocolate. It's delicious!"

Kwakado | Traitor-10/12/2016

"Chocolate...It's been so long since I've had a taste." Persephone kept up eagerly with the cloaked mage. "A few rounds of training should make up for it."(edited)

Weiss Schnee-10/12/2016

"I know...the cocoa plant grows in the rainforest around here, so it's made in fair abundance. Chocolate first? Or training?" Artemis kept up her quick pace, happy to be spending time with her best friend.

Kwakado | Traitor-10/12/2016

"Longing makes our prey all the sweeter." A sinister smile spread across her face, the kind that would be off-putting to anyone less familiar with Persephone's twisted zeal. "Come, Arty!"

Weiss Schnee-10/12/2016

"Alright, alright!" Artemis grinned, rushing after Persephone, a hand on her hood to make sure it didn't fall as she followed, "Sword practice then?"
October 13, 2016

Kwakado | Traitor-10/13/2016

"Heavens, yes!" She kept on running in what Artemis knew to be the opposite direction of the arena. "When we're finished, outlaws will weep at the name of Lady Sorine..."

Weiss Schnee-10/13/2016

Artemis was happy that Seph was running ahead of her as she knew a grimace crossed her face at mention of 'Lady Sorine'. Still, she recovered and smirked, "The arena is the other way, my dear lady!"

Kwakado | Traitor-10/13/2016

"O-oh!" Persephone stopped, bending over to catch her breath, then turned back around. Now, she walked with the usual poise and sensibility, aware of the crowds all around. "I hadn't realized you'd already visited..."

Weiss Schnee-10/13/2016

Artemis giggled, "I've been to Port Amaron before. I got the chance to explore the town back then. Come on, we can make a game out of it. I'll tell you if you're heading the right way or not."

Kwakado | Traitor-10/13/2016

"I accept." Persephone's senses focused to a rapier point, taking in every sign, every passenger. An arena would probably be in the center of the city, so all she had to do was find that. Not too hard...right? "What brought you to Amaron? Business, or pleasure?"

Weiss Schnee-10/13/2016

"Business. A merchant caravan needed to be brought here and well...I spent a few extra days here after the job was done." Artemis smiled, watching Persephone observe and try to figure out where the arena is.

Kwakado | Traitor-10/13/2016

"It must have been troublesome...all these side streets, not enough walls...but the views must have been delightful!" Deciding a little scenic detour couldn't be too bad, Persephone chooses one of the smaller, winding streets to start off.

Weiss Schnee-10/13/2016

"Quite!" Artemis giggled, following Persephone into the smaller street, keeping track of which direction they were coming from. Just where is she going...? "If you want any hints, let me know and I'll happily provide."

Kwakado | Traitor-10/13/2016

"I'll take that to heart." The young noble passes by a woodcarver's shop, admiring its crafts (without gawking, of course) and waves back to some friendly sailors passing by. "Such a carefree city.."

Weiss Schnee-10/13/2016

"Haha...they're pretty far from the war so it makes sense." Artemis glanced, watching the people go by. "Still, it's a good place for a break, after rushing across the continent."

Kwakado | Traitor-10/13/2016

"You're right....we needed this respite, didn't we." She led them out into a larger boulevard, which looped around to run parallel to the busier, horse-filled main street.

Weiss Schnee-10/13/2016

"Yes, we all did..." Artemis looked around the area, "...are you sure you don't want that hint right now?"

Kwakado | Traitor-10/13/2016

"We should be getting close...the traffic looks like it's converging over there..." Picking up on the hint that had been spoken, Persephone stops in her tracks. "...This isn't the right way, is it.:

Weiss Schnee-10/13/2016

"Nope..." Artemis smiled in amusement, "You haven't made the right conclusions, I think."

Kwakado | Traitor-10/13/2016

"Surely they'd place it at the heart of the city, wouldn't they?" Persephone looked back at the unremarkable line of rooftops before her, then to her elder. "I hope I haven't gotten us lost..."

Weiss Schnee-10/13/2016

"No, not such much for Port Amaron. The town itself is pretty peaceful, right?" Artemis pointed out, "Why would they put such a rowdy place in the midst of the town and ruin that peace?"

Kwakado | Traitor-10/13/2016

"But peace cannot bloom without strength, and respect for that strength!" The girl huffed a little. "I've been by the docks, so it can't be there..."

Weiss Schnee-10/13/2016

"Well, they have an arena in the town but they don't make it the center of their lives, Seph."

Kwakado | Traitor-10/13/2016

"I suppose that isn't what draws people to a port town like this...ah, well. I concede." Stubborn as she was, Persephone had never been much of a sore loser, and her idle smile in this moment was no exception. "Why don't you show me where they do make it?"

Weiss Schnee-10/13/2016

"Alright then, follow me!" Artemis turned, leading the way towards the town outskirts, where they passed by a weapons shop, magical vendors, all leading up to the arena.

Kwakado | Traitor-10/13/2016

"Heavens, it is rather big..." Persephone drew close to Artemis as they ascended to the front entrance. "You could surely see the ocean from the top of it!"

Weiss Schnee-10/13/2016

"I haven't been to the top of it, but it is a nice thought. Do you want to spectate?"

Kwakado | Traitor-10/13/2016

"Ah..actually...Wait here for me." She steps on ahead, searching around the arena's interior until she found the armory. When she returned, her ususal sabre was gone, and in each hand she held a sheathed, simple-looking iron sword.(edited)

Weiss Schnee-10/13/2016

The tactician looked confused, "What are you doing? Did you put down your normal sword?"

Kwakado | Traitor-10/13/2016

"It's resting in storage for now." Taking one last look at the swords, and lifting them to each side, Persephone extended the lighter one towards her friend. "There's a practice room on the third floor, just waiting for us!""

Weiss Schnee-10/13/2016

Artemis accepted the lighter sword, testing it's weight in her hands for a moment before nodding, "Alright...fair warning, I barely remember anything when it comes to swordplay. I only ever took the very basics at the academy and I never practiced."

Kwakado | Traitor-10/13/2016

"I know.." She gave a mischevious, yet earnest smile. "We'll take each step slowly. No one else will be watching."

Weiss Schnee-10/13/2016

With a small bow, "This is your domain, I cede to you, my dear."

Kwakado | Traitor-10/13/2016

Returning the bow, Persephone took her by the right hand and ascended the arena. The room was modestly-sized, lit mostly by a single arched window to the outside. "My, it's so dusty in here.." The pampered duelist looked around their surroundings with disdain. "Where are the mirrors?" After a sigh of concession...she moved to the other end of the room, setting her sheath aside. "This little closet will have to do."

Weiss Schnee-10/13/2016

"It must not be used all the often recently, with so many fighters at the front lines..." Artemis whispered to herself. Shaking her head, she smiled, setting aside the sheathe for the blunted blade, making no move to remove her cloak.

Kwakado | Traitor-10/13/2016

"Artyy....I have to be able to check your form." Persephone tipped her head toward her friend's favorite piece of clothing. "It won't be long."

Weiss Schnee-10/13/2016

The mage pouted but nodded, removing the cloak and draping it on a dusty bench. "Alright then. Show me."

Kwakado | Traitor-10/13/2016

Flipping her hair out of the way, the Ethysian-enthusiast began the preparations. Her limbs relaxed yet stilled themselves, like an undisturbed pond, and she silently thanked her gods that it was this person whom she would point her sword at, after the terros on the Bridge. Standing straight, she raised the weapon's hillt up to her chin in a salute to her peer...then out to the side - slower, easier to follow - in a downward slash. Persephone turned to the side, bringing her feet outward to her shoulders and bending her knees, and raised her sword up. Her other hand lay dormant in front of her, as if to grasp a hypothetical set of reins, or a tome. Though her slick precision may have been somewhat intimidating, her face was warm and playful. "Don't hold too much weight in your feet...allow the ground be solid for us."
===RP PAUSE===
October 14, 2016

Weiss Schnee-10/14/2016

Artemis took a deep breath, raising the sword up in her left hand, moving her left foot slighty forward at the same time. "Fancy footwork's never been my forte. Call me out if something looks weird." She was wielding the lighter sword with one hand, even with feeling slightly off, using a physical weapon instead of a tome.

Kwakado | Traitor-10/14/2016

"Not a problem! We'll start with defense - just follow my lead, til you've taken it to heart...oh!" Moving her sword to the left hand, Persephone demonstrated a series of several guards, stopping the sword in the path of her head, shoulders, stomach, legs, and back again, like steps of a dance. She kept her feet still for the time being. When Artemis started to look comfortable with the motions, Persephone changed hands and took to offense, striking at each defended zone in sequence. Though her speed was quite accomodating, the strength of her blows was less so.

Weiss Schnee-10/14/2016

Artemis winced as she defended against the blows, The slower attacks let her put more power behind every blow. Being able to predict and know the sequence of the attacks allowed her to position her defense accordingly but in exchange, the power the tactician had to defend against caused her grip to loosen over time. Soon enough, after guarding against a particularly powerful blow, caused the blunted sword Artemis was holding to clatter to the floor noisely. "...dang, you hit hard, Seph."
October 15, 2016

Kwakado | Traitor-10/15/2016

Lunging forward reflexively, Persephone's sword arm straightened with the weapon into one unbroken line pointing out at her prey. She held this position until Artemis's remark snapped her out of her trance. The realization of just how much force she'd put behind each blow brought a blush to the girl's face. "....Once more! A, a true foe wouldn't hesitate to--" And yet, now that Persephone had fought against true foes, her mantra had taken on a nauseating weight that caught her off guard. The young lady turned away to catch her breath, for a moment... "Such a wide grip only tires you faster." Persephone raised a hand, pinching her thumb to her middle and index fingers. "Put your strength here...and you'll be fine."

Weiss Schnee-10/15/2016

As she leaned down to pick up her sword, Artemis only grimaced at hearing Persephone cut herself off. But instead of prodding, she picked up the sword with her left hand, adjusting her grip accordingly. Before taking a few experimental swings up and down, and left and right. "Alright then...back on the defensive for me then?"

Kwakado | Traitor-10/15/2016

"Ah....yes. You can try for the riposte when you're ready; take the natural path." Her sword flowed outwards from its parrying position, taking a simple, direct course. And the dance resumed. Persephone picked up the pace just a hair more with each repetition, but her slashes were far less fierce now. Rather, she eagerly awaited the moment when her friend would break from the pattern and reciprocate her aggression.

Weiss Schnee-10/15/2016

A little while later, Artemis panted, having been on the defensive for the most of it, but happy to have attempted her own attacks when she saw the opening. Leaning against the wall, the tactician only grinned, "Oh man...it's been a while since I've had a workout that tough. You're strong, Seph."
October 16, 2016

Kwakado | Traitor-10/16/2016

"And you're incredible...Heavens, I'm sore already!" Persephone held her limp sword arm with great surprise as she came over to Artemis's side, beaming in admiration. "By the Lover, if not for that cloak you'd have warriors across Junith swooning."

Weiss Schnee-10/16/2016

Artemis tried to fight down the blush that was appearing on her cheeks from Persephone's statement but failed, rather horribly mind you. "S-seph! I happen to like my cloak, thank you very much!" In fact, she was returning the practice sword to the sheathe and retreiving her cloak in the meanwhile.

Kwakado | Traitor-10/16/2016

The younger noble let out an airy laugh at her friend's embarrassment, struggling as much as ever at acknowledging her myriad talents. "All right, all right..." She retrieved her own sheath. "I think we're deserving of a little treat now."(edited)

Weiss Schnee-10/16/2016

"Ooh~" She refastened the cloack around her neck, adjusting it to make sure she was comfortable. "Alright, let's go enjoy some chocolate then?"

Kwakado | Traitor-10/16/2016

"Yes, at once! I'll take care of these." Retrieving the sword gently from Artemis, the young duelist skipped out to the staircase - not quite winded from their practice yet - then walked carefully down to the storage racks. They reunited outside, in the sunny streets of Port Amaron.

Weiss Schnee-10/16/2016

"Alright, I get to lead the way this time." Artemis had been waiting for her best friend, hood up outside the arena, "I know a good chocolate stand that sells the best chocolate covered strawberries."

Kwakado | Traitor-10/16/2016

"Oh, delightful! I can hardly wait..." Persephone walked closely aside her hooded friend, letting out a deep sigh, equal parts comfort and exhaustion. "Arty...there's no one I would rather have fled to Celanthus with, than you."

Weiss Schnee-10/16/2016

Happy to have the hood to hide the blush she was sure was spreading across her face, "...Despite everything that's been going on, I'm happy to have the people I care for the most with me. You absolutely included, Seph." Artemis walked along, weaving through the crowds, the black cloak trailing behind her as she walked.
October 17, 2016

Kwakado | Traitor-10/17/2016

Persephone's inclusion as one of her most cared-for was a profound honor, and Cawdor's heir knew better that older brothers like Lorenzo were irreplacable in their hearts... "We've taken on some..strange allies, on this quest, wouldn't you say? Rogues, and knights, and savages...Lately I can't help but appreciate the company of Amarana." Persephone laughed nervously, staying close as Atremis navigated the busy streets.

Weiss Schnee-10/17/2016

Artemis raised an eyebrow as she glanced back at her friend in surprise, "The strangest of allies and friendships can emerge in war...even romance, some say." "...I didn't think it was true until now though. Still, it's a trying time, we must be finding comfort in the familiar. I haven't gotten much of a chance to talk with her but if my brother enjoys her company, there's something to be said, right?"

Kwakado | Traitor-10/17/2016

"Lorenzo...all these weeks riding together and I've hardly even spoken to him. Of all the things in our lives to persist, even here!" Persephone's face, still smiling, made her amusement and frustration equally clear. By some perverse stroke of fate, Lorenzo was as unknown to Persephone as her own vanished brother was to Artemis. "Yet from what you've said, I'm hardly surprised that he and Amarana would want to--" The girl blinked, having just started to realize just what could prompt her beloved hooded recluse to suddenly speak of...romance...She covered her gasping mouth at once with a gloved hand. "--Arty! Do you mean to tell me..!?"

Weiss Schnee-10/17/2016

"I've barely spoke with my brother as well. We've both been so busy." Artemis answered, intent not confirming or denying anything. After all, she wasn't so certain and particular routes of gossip, she tended to avoid. "Still, I at least know that they were close before this whole mess...who knows how their interactions now are."

Kwakado | Traitor-10/17/2016

"Oh, it's all uncertain, I'm sure..." Now her hand masked a slight pout. The man was, indeed, irreplaceable... "But if there is anything we can learn from the old epics, it's that the dawn of a terrible war is the perfect climate for lifelong love to bloom."(edited)

Weiss Schnee-10/17/2016

"Quite so...but who knows how events will play out?" Artemis teased, before looking ahead and eyeing the stand she'd been looking for. "Look, we've arrived." As Persephone and Artemis walk up to the stand, there'll be an assortment of chocolate bars and boxed truffles lying out. But the real gem of the stand was the assortment of chocolate covered fruit. Artemis herself was eyeing the strawberries in particular.

Kwakado | Traitor-10/17/2016

Persephone looked over the selection hesitantly, her eyes dancing back and forth wth enough concentration to take her mind off of the implications of a Sorrine/Amarana alliance in the far future. "These certainly smell delicious.." Finally, she decided on the chocolate-coated cherries. With them, Persephone figured, she could keep her hands clean with ease.(edited)

Weiss Schnee-10/17/2016

Artemis ended up getting herself a small box of chocolate-covered strawberries. Smiling from her purchase, "Well, sweets are always a nice treat after the workout we had." Holding out one of her strawberries, "Do you want to try one, Seph?"

Kwakado | Traitor-10/17/2016

"I'd be delighted...and for you?" With a cherry-stem dangling from her pinched fingers, Persephone held out a hand past Artemis's, ready to trade treats.

Weiss Schnee-10/17/2016

"Of course!" Artemis grinned, happy to trade, "Chocolate cherries is one of the things I haven't tried."
October 18, 2016

Kwakado | Traitor-10/18/2016

With their little deal sealed, Persephone nibbled on the strawberry. "It's....strong, but sweet." She continued quietly,

Weiss Schnee-10/18/2016

Artemis happily ate the cherry. "Of course. Chocolate's always such a sweet treat. I'm happy to have it but it's so rare outside of this region."

Kwakado | Traitor-10/18/2016

"There's something to its texture...It's as if my heart is about to melt along with it..." Sighing wistfully, Popping popped some cherries into her mouth. "A stand like this would have made a fortune back home, I'm certain of it."
October 19, 2016

Weiss Schnee-10/19/2016

"The only issue would be resources back home." Artemis commented, "But I think the amount of people who'd pay for it would outweigh the import costs."
October 21, 2016

Kwakado | Traitor-10/21/2016

"Then we shall have to inform His Highness, once everything is finished." Persephone gave a stifled smile. "..We'd best be getting back now."

Weiss Schnee-10/21/2016

"...we probably should." Artemis smiled softly. "Maybe after we indulge in sweets for a bit, I can play my flute? I don't mind having an audience of one."

Kwakado | Traitor-10/21/2016

Persephone gives a quick nod. "I would be honored." She'd gone as long without music, it felt, as she had without sweets like these, and a cold smile showed her gratitude for them. Would they always have time for these slivers of comfort? Could she even last long enough to make it to the next one?

Weiss Schnee-10/21/2016

"Good. I haven't played since we were in Dovania. Someone with an ear for this can help me get rid of the rust." The thunder mage smiled, her face shadowed by her hood. "Let's just enjoy the day for now, alright? Let the worries be left for tomorrow."
October 22, 2016

Kwakado | Traitor-10/22/2016

"Your judgment never errs, Arty." She turned resolutely to Artemis, wrenching her thoughts into the present with a playful demeanor. "And I promise not to laugh if your fingers do."

Weiss Schnee-10/22/2016

"Thank you." She took a bite of one of her strawberries, "Now let's enjoy the rest of day?" Artemis held an arm out for Seph to loop through.

Kwakado | Traitor-10/22/2016

Holding the rest of her sweets at her side for later, Persephone linked her arm with Artemis's as they walked back. "...and thank you." She dearly missed this sense of security, of having someone there to laugh with, someone she could let down her guard alongside. It was perhaps the one stroke of fortune in this entire journey, that Arty had been here to help her carry on. If another battle comes...I'll return the favor. Persephone's eyes sparkle with unfounded confidence. I'll keep you safe, Arty...no matter what.
