Arcian Justice Spear of Justice™

[2:21 PM] ColdToiletSeat: A heavy sigh escaped the dragoon, from his view in the azure expanse above all the others there didn't seem to be any more reinforcements coming for what remained of these rebels. At that, Javier cracked a cocky grin, he was getting bored. These rebels may have been large in number, but whatever they had in manpower was for naught, they lacked the effectiveness of a true army. Picking off rebel after rebel, the pegasus knight left only a bloody trail wherever he had gone. He felt no remorse, these Arcians had decided for themselves that they would rather fight the nation that provided them with their lives than to join in taking on the real threat. As the pegasus knight neared the shrine, his grip around Ferdinand's reins tightened, this skirmish was nearly over but he couldn't afford to become complacent. Shaking the excess pride from his shoulders, Javier noticed their leader was exposed. This was his chance. Forcing his mount into a rather quick descent, the dragoon held his lance at the ready as the wind whistled past his helmet. However, something was off about the enemy commander. His stare was piercing yet quite familiar. Ferdinand let out a pained whinnie as the pair came to a rather rough stop before the man. Wasting no time in pointing the tip of Partisan at the foe, Javier put up his visor and called out to the man. "You there! Commander of these rebels! I suggest you lay down your arms before I take them from you myself!"(edited)
[2:27 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: "Yeah, right, like I'd ever do that. If anything, you should be the one doing that!" the commander called back to the man atop the pegasus. He looked upwards, lifting his visor on his helmet and keeping his shield up, to see the rider and let out an evil smile. "You're the one who betrayed your country, are you not? Come back to us, Javier, and maybe I won't have to kill you."(edited)
[2:36 PM] ColdToiletSeat: A shock went through the man as he was referred to by his first name. His eyes widened only for a moment before they narrowed and fit right into his look of bitter disgust alongside his gritting teeth. "Who are you to call me a betrayer?!" Javier snapped back, his pointed lance still steady as fury painted the man's expression. "Know your place, rebel scum, and I won't have to cut you down!" How does he know me? The pegasus knight wondered, He's... familiar but I can't seem to place a definite match to anyone. Grrh, it doesn't matter. Those rebels are all the same and will die all the same, what's another carcass for the pile?(edited)
[2:45 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: "Me? The rebel scum? Ohohoho, you have it all wrong! Only a traitor wouldn't stay with Arcias in its time of need! She needs us to continue her reign!" Odias shouted, grinning smugly, "You're no match for a loyal Arcian trained in only the most prestigious of military schools!" Odias lowered his visor and made an exaggerated hand motion, signalling for Javier to come at him and fight like a real man.
[2:58 PM] ColdToiletSeat: "You're nothing but ungrateful worms! The lot of you!" Javier shouted in rebuttal, his face the epitome of anger as he slammed his visor down in response to the man's incessant taunting. "I will make sure by the gods above you rue the day you chose to oppose our once great nation!" The man added, grabbing the reins of his loyal steed and rearing him backwards before diving lance-first towards the mage fighter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2NK_cnCYeA(edited)
[3:07 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: Odias switfly dodges Javier's dive, jumping slightly to his right, "Hah, nice try! I bet you never expected someone to actually dodge one of those, huh? Otherwise you never would have went for it." He then lands firmly and opens his time, shooting a large, yellow stream of thunder towards Javier.
[3:21 PM] ColdToiletSeat: Javier's eyes widened as the rebel commander deftly dodged his strike, that couldn't be, how could he have missed? The man shook his head only to open them to a Thoron bolt headed his way, there was no time, he couldn't move. The dragoon let out an anger-infused scream alongside a pained whinnie from Ferdinand as the spell jolted their bodies. The armor adorned with symbols of his nation proving useless against his foe as the blast met with him head-on. His mind spun in those few seconds, but the man simply refused to be defeated. ...Rgh, c'mon Javier. No need to be such a pansy, that was nothing compared to what you've been through before. The man thought to himself, regaining his bearings on the world before gripping his reins and attempting for another strike.
[3:48 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: The Mage Fighter did not expect the speed of the blow to be so high following a shock from his trusty Thoron tome, and as such, got hit squarely in his shoulder. The pressure of the impact sent him backwards, landing on his back with a thump, leaving him vulnerable as he flailed a bit trying to recover, "Gods! I see you're as tough as ever, but that won't be enough."
[4:58 PM] ColdToiletSeat: Javier sneered as his lance hit at least part of his target. His dismay quickly transformed into self-confidence, wakening his senses like a sudden splash from a bucket of cold water. And yet, the confusion of this man's relation to him remained. How? How does he know me? He said he was from one of the top military schools in Arcias, but who is he? And why does fighting like this feel familiar? "I think not!" He retorted, spinning his lance before pointing it once again at Odias. "The blessed head of the gods smiles down upon me, can you say the same?!"
[5:14 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: "Of course they are! Baiame has granted me his strength this very day! This is his temple, afterall!" Odias replied back as he managed to stand up, shooting another blast of Thoron unexpectedly after speaking, aiming for the pegasus's wings.

[5:54 PM] ColdToiletSeat: "Tch. How dare you try to defame the blessed head?!" The dragoon barked, kicking both of Ferdinand's sides as a way to press the pegasus forward. And into the thoron bolt he flew, watching as his outward stretched lance acted as a lightning rod for the strike, bringing the shock up the pole and into his arm. The pain was there, but Javier didn't seem to care as he kept moving forward. Much to the suffering of his mount, his priority was his mission and he was determined to come out on top. With a final yell, the decisive blow of the battle was struck. As the dust settled, the bloodied tip of Javier's Partisan stuck out of the other side of Odias' chest and from the moment forward, it was over. In that moment however, the man experienced a realization upon closer look of his opponent's face. He recognized it as one of his comrades from the academy he had grown up with. As Ferdinand's legs gave out and the two fell down, Javier's expression softened as he stood back up. Watching his childhood friend slowly bleed out on the ground was... a different experience. He tensed, clenching his fist as Odias raised a weak and trembling hand towards him. The pressure of the staff on his side burned as streaks of crimson flowed from the corner of the man's mouth. Doubt filled Javier's mind as one of his hands slowly raised to unclasp the magic crook from his belt. ...No, duty above all else. That's what they taught you. He thought, closing his eyes as he let both of his arms hang. The clang of blade against steel rang out around him as Prince Finn's forces cleared out the rest of the rebels. But none of it mattered in that moment, taking a breath Javier wrapped both of his hands around the Partisan before driving it through Odias and into the ground. Taking a knee with beads of bitter tears forming in his eyes, the dragoon began to pray. "Blessed be thee, Baiame, thy head of the gods. I ask that you be gracious and lend an ear to my plea on this day..."(edited)
[6:00 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: "Nrrrgh, y-you can't- you can't stop m-me!" Odias, despite being basically dead on the ground, bloody and unable to get up, he managed to lift his tome hand up and spoke a few ancient words before it fell back down onto his chest. The tome exploded into a huge mass of electricity that disintegrated the soldier's body, left the front of the temple ash black, and knocked over a nearby flagpole with the Arcian rebellion flag on it. It was one of those flagpoles with the pointy ornament on the top, golden in color. The pole was surprisingly lightweight.(edited)
[6:46 PM] ColdToiletSeat: "...and of these lives I've claimed on this day, I beg that you save none of them." Javier concluded, standing up and blinking a few times as he was left virtually unharmed from the blast. Placing a fist over his chestplate, the man closed his eyes before he cast his gaze skyward, muttering a simple "Thank you, Baiame."
[7:16 PM] ColdToiletSeat: Noticing the flagpole that had fallen, Javier walked over worriedly, mistaking the flag for one of his nation's. Upon kneeling down once more, the man took note of the piece of rebel propaganda that lay before him. He frowned at the sight of it, recognizing the tip of the pole as the ornate gold of his previous academy's. Wordlessly, the dragoon picked up the flagpole and ripped away the flag. Such beauty didn't deserve to be tarnished by such a dreadful symbol. He'd find a real Arcian flag for it and restore the pole to its former glory.
