Alexandra stood stoically beside the door to the throne room, with another Royal Guard on the other side of the monumental double doors. Her hand rested on the hilt of her sword.
This is all such a mess. Floribar falls and now I've two monarchs to look out for. To add to it, The Queen his hiring mercenaries to send with the foreign prince, and allowing them free reign on most of the castle...

Silban was walking around the castle after finally catching up with the army. "Man, it sure is boring around here." Silban would say as he noticed a woman near the entrance to the throne seemed like a guard but something in him urged him to talk to her. "Hey." Silban would say towards the woman.

"You don't think I know that" Silban would say as he sat down on the floor. "You look so lonely along with 'Mr. Standing Still'. You could use some smalltalk" Silban would say towards the woman as he pulled out an apple and took a bite out of it.

"That can never be guaranteed. Now more than most occasions. The chaos of Floribar's fall is more than enough to warrant extra shifts for guards. On top of that, all these hired swords wandering the castle along with another crown to defend... It's more than enough to have even the regular city guards on edge."

"And what about you 'Mr. Standing Still'?" Silban would ask as he saw the man inside it not even nudge. "Hey, uh... I am gonna say Mary, is 'Mr. Standing Still' ok, he seems out of it." Silban would say towards the woman.

"Ah well... I always heard the guard from Damona did not move one inch anyways." Silban would say as he finished his apple. "So, you are not gonna talk to me, even if I have vital information?" Silban would say as he obviously lied about the vital information part.

The other guard makes a brief comment "Ma'am, you do indeed have a better temper than myself."
